NATIONAL RESISTANCE 2026: Building a National Defense Preparedness System

What is this event and who did it bring together?

The Second All-Ukrainian Forum “NATIONAL RESISTANCE 2026” took place in Kyiv, bringing together representatives of the security and defense sector, government institutions, regional military administrations, civilian training centers, civil society organizations, and businesses around a shared objective: developing an effective system for preparing citizens for national resistance. According to the organizers and media reports, the forum gathered approximately 350–400 participants.

The event was organized by the Kyiv Regional Center for Civilian National Resistance Training, established on the initiative of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, in partnership with the Third Army Corps. The Strategic Partner of the forum was the Special Operations Forces Resistance Movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The forum served as a professional platform for discussing what a modern system of societal preparedness should look like in the context of a protracted war and ongoing security challenges.

National Resistance – What Is the Core Idea?

At the center of the discussions was a key concept: a nation’s defense capability today is determined not only by the strength of its armed forces, but also by the level of preparedness of its society. This encompasses not only basic military skills, but also psychological resilience, the ability to operate in crisis situations, teamwork and coordination skills, first aid capabilities, proficiency with modern technologies, and an understanding of one’s role within the National Resistance system. This message was consistently emphasized throughout the forum by government representatives, military personnel, and regional officials alike.

What Role Does U-FORCE R&D and Manufacturing Company Play?

For U-FORCE LLC, participation in the forum provided an opportunity not only to showcase its own developments, but also to demonstrate what practical, modern, and technology-driven training can look like. At the company’s exhibition stand, visitors were able to explore M.I.L.E.S. field combat simulation systems, test the VR Counter-UAS Simulator, and experience the “Sich” Interactive Shooting Range.

The practical component became one of the most significant aspects of U-FORCE RMC’s participation in the forum. Participants were not merely observing equipment demonstrations; they had the opportunity to personally engage in elements of the training process, including target detection, threat response, decision-making in a dynamic environment, and evaluating how closely such training solutions replicate real-world operational conditions.

For us, this principle is fundamental: effective training begins where individuals move beyond theoretical instruction and gain hands-on practical experience.

Modern Training

Today, preparation for National Resistance can no longer remain fragmented, sporadic, or purely formal. It must be systematic, large-scale, accessible, and technologically relevant. This is why the role of training tools that enable safe, realistic, and scalable skills development for both military personnel and civilians continues to grow. Simulation-based solutions, interactive training systems, and VR platforms make it possible to significantly enhance training effectiveness, reduce the time required to master procedures, and create learning environments that closely reflect the realities of the modern battlefield.

What Did the Forum Demonstrate?

The NATIONAL RESISTANCE 2026 Forum once again confirmed that Ukraine is building more than just a network of training initiatives — it is fostering a new culture of defense preparedness. A culture in which real skills matter more than formal participation; readiness to act matters more than declarations; and comprehensive systems matter more than fragmented solutions. This is precisely the approach required by a nation that is fighting a war, continuously adapting, and simultaneously developing a long-term model of national resilience.

For U-FORCE LLC participation in events such as this is part of a broader effort to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities. We are convinced that a prepared nation is not an abstract slogan but a practical foundation of a strong state. The more high-quality, accessible, and realistic training solutions Ukraine develops and implements, the stronger our ability will be to withstand and counter any threat.
