[Counter-Drone Training Simulator]
TRAINING COMPLEX "ANTI-DRONE VR AND FPV PILOT"
A next-generation integrated VR simulator that models a real confrontation between an FPV drone pilot and a fighter armed with a pump-action shotgun.
Purpose of the Simulator

With the “Anti-Drone VR and FPV Pilot” simulator, a shotgun-equipped shooter and an FPV drone operator simultaneously operate within a shared virtual combat environment.

Both sides act as live adversaries, enabling the realistic replication of real-world combat engagement dynamics.

Principle of Operation

The “Anti-Drone VR and FPV Pilot” training complex operates as a unified virtual environment in which an FPV drone pilot and a fighter equipped with a pump-action shotgun mock-up interact simultaneously.

The system replicates a dynamic combat confrontation, closely approximating real-world FPV drone employment conditions.

The FPV drone pilot, using VR goggles and a control unit:

Conducts target search and navigates within the virtual environment;
Guides the drone toward the target object;
Performs maneuvering, adjusting altitude and direction of movement;
Utilizes environmental cover and obstacles;
Selects the optimal approach trajectory and timing of the attack.

All pilot actions are performed in accordance with realistic FPV drone flight physics, including inertia, speed, and control limitations.

A fighter equipped with a full-scale pump-action shotgun mock-up, operating within the same virtual environment and using VR goggles:

Conducts situational observation of the surrounding area;
Detects the drone and tracks it within the field of view;
Makes the decision to open fire.

The system calculates the shot outcome in real time, taking into account:

Distance to the target;
Angle of fire;
Shot dispersion pattern;
Drone maneuvering.

Interaction between the FPV pilot and the shooter occurs synchronously:

Drone maneuvers directly affect the difficulty of target engagement;
The shooter’s actions force the operator to adjust flight tactics, evade, or accelerate the attack.

In the event of a simulated hit on the shooter, the system activates a shock bracelet, introducing an additional psychological and physiological stress factor.

The simulator also supports a standalone scenario in which a fighter equipped with a pump-action shotgun mock-up counters AI-driven FPV drones, whose behavior is modeled by artificial intelligence algorithms to replicate the actions of a real operator.

Network Training Mode
The system supports conducting network training in multiplayer mode — up to 3 trainees simultaneously on one virtual location. Participants can simultaneously practice exercises for the detection and destruction of enemy FPV drones, interacting with each other and training teamwork in conditions maximally close to real combat.

Anti-Drone Shotgun Configuration Settings:

SIMULATOR ADVANTAGES:
Resource Efficiency
Does not require live ammunition, real drones, or consumables. Reduces overall training costs.
Training Safety
Fully eliminates the risk of personnel injury during the practice of complex scenarios.
Full Control of the Training Process
The instructor monitors the actions of both the shooter and the FPV operator in real time and can adjust the scenario accordingly.
Rapid Deployment
Minimal space requirements and short setup time for training site preparation.
Repeatability and Consistency
Enables repeated practice of identical scenarios under the same conditions.
Flexible Difficulty Adjustment
Suitable for both initial training and advanced skill enhancement of experienced personnel.
